A woman has been charged after allegedly bashing a man in a Hervey Bay park while armed.
Police said the 56-year-old Torquay man sustained serious injuries to his head and legs and was taken to hospital.
It will be alleged at about 5.11pm, an altercation occurred at a park on Bideford Street, Torquay between two people.
A 57-year-old Torquay woman was taken into custody at the scene and charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed.
She is due to appear before Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Wednesday, January 29.
Investigations are ongoing.
