A group of bumbling thieves have been sent running after a good Samaritan in Brisbane’s north spotted them attempting to break into his neighbours car.
Stephen Lee, of Bridgeman Downs, noticed the sensors at the front of his driveway go off about 2am. He walked to the bedroom door and saw a group of people running to steal one of his neighbours cars.
“I am looking down into the car from my top bedroom. I see them hop out and I just off loaded,” he said.
“Mate I am fed up with it, like everybody else is. It’s getting beyond a joke.
“I am not afraid of protecting my family and my home.”
In the video Mr Lee can be heard screaming, “Oi motherf******, get the f*** out of here”.
“I just off loaded, it was like a megaphone in a football field, these gutless little cowards just ran and could not get away quick enough,” he said.
“The driver nearly pissed off and nearly left without the rest.”
Mr Lee said the whole neighbourhood was on high alert because of the rise in crime.
“We got baseball bats, immobilisers, alarms for the house.”
“Everybody in our whole cul-de-sac is loaded with cameras,” he said.
“It’s getting to the point where the general public is sick of it and they are going to start fighting back.
