Friday afternoon commuters needing to travel between Gladstone and Calliope along the Dawson Highway may want to consider an alternative route or a delayed departure time after a two-vehicle crash has obstructed an intersection on the main thoroughfare.
Emergency services are at the scene of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Dawson Highway and Jim Whyte Way at Burua.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 4.25pm and a Queensland Police Service spokesman said the intersection is obstructed by the crash.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said two crews were there waiting to help the Queensland Ambulance Service crews safely remove a female patient from one of the vehicles.
A QAS spokesman said the female was complaining of neck and shoulder pain.
He said a male in the other vehicle had leg and arm injuries.
The QAS spokesman said both were in a stable condition.
