Four arrested following police pursuit on the Sunshine Coast

Four people, including three teenagers, have been charged after police dramatically intercepted a car allegedly stolen from Brisbane earlier this week.
Police allege the Toyota Aurion sedan was stolen from an address in Mott St, Gaythorne, on Wednesday.
The car was spotted by Sunshine Coast police on Thursday night while at another interception site on the Bruce Highway at Coochin Creek.
The police helicopter Polair tracked the car north before it turned off on to Caloundra Rd and travelled east.
Police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device along Caloundra Rd and the car was tracked into bushland near Honeyfarm Rd, Meridan Plains, where its occupants attempted to flee on foot.
Officers were able to take three offenders into custody, with the fourth found shortly after with the assistance of Polair and Dog Squad officers.
As a result of the pursuit, a 15-year-old Boondall girl was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing.
A 16-year-old Sandgate boy was charged with burglary, receiving tainted property and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The pair will face Maroochydore Children’s Court at a later date.
A 18-year-old Boondall man was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing.
He will face Maroochydore Magistrates Court on July 11.
A 22-year-old Tewantin man was charged with burglary, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possession of used utensils.
He will face Maroochydore Magistrates Court on June 17.
