Police have released footage of a man who may be able to assist their investigations after a young woman was allegedly assaulted while walking her dog northwest of Brisbane.

Police have released footage of a man who may be able to assist their investigations after a young woman was allegedly assaulted while walking her dog northwest or Brisbane.

Police allege the woman was approached by a man who spoke to her before indecently assaulting her and fleeing on foot on Hogarth Rd at Ferny Grove between 3.40pm and 4pm on June 19.

The footage released by police shows a man walking down a road. He is described as having brown hair and aged in his early 20s.

He was last seen wearing black shorts and a maroon football shirt.

Police are asking for the man, anyone who recognises him or has vision from Hogarth Rd and intersecting streets, including Beech St, between 3.30pm and 4.20pm on June 19 to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
