A house has been destroyed after a car fire spread and engulfed a Redbank Plains property in flames.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services were called to a property on Tindle St about 5am Tuesday to reports a car was on fire.
The car fire quickly spread to a nearby home and engulfed it in flames.
Four fire crews were able to put the fire out about 6.15am, but the house was badly damaged.
One dog and five puppies were found at the property and were uninjured.
Crews swept the house for occupants but didn’t find anyone inside, with paramedics on standby at the property.
Neighbour Shari Hall captured the home well alight at around 5am.
“Took a while to actually put the whole fire out and after that I went back inside,” Ms Hall said.
Smoke could be seen billowing from the charred property as crews worked to extinguish flames.
Queensland Fire and Emergency spokeswoman said crews remained on scene at noon and had inspected both levels of the property.
People posting on social media referred to the home as the “pink house”.
Lars Nicole posted said: “No more pink house.”
“Even though it was painted white recently.
“Hope all the surrounding houses and neighbours are safe.”
