Family of alleged DV killer driver Raffery Rolf open up about horror crash

The family of the man charged with three counts of murder after a triple-fatal crash near Noosa have opened up about their pain following the horrific incident.

The family of 25-year-old Rafferty Rolfe charged with three counts of murder in an alleged car chase have released a statement in relation to the horrific crash.

Speaking on television, sister Rosie Jinks said the family were “immensely sorry.”

“Rafferty’s family is immensely sorry for the pain and devastation and our thoughts are with all families affected,” she told 9 News.

Meanwhile, the family of Gypsy Satterley have also come forward.

Brother Brodie Satterley said Gypsy was his rock.

“She was there for everybody in their family,” he said.

Mr Satterley said they could “only imagine the fear she was going through”.

“You can only imagine how I feel about him right now I won’t put it into words,” he said.

Mr Satterley would not make comment on how his sister came to be in the stolen car.

“Terry died a hero in our eyes and we send our love to both of their families,” he said.

Mr Satterley said nobody in the family had seen the incident coming in the four-week relationship between the pair.

“As far as I was aware she was doing all good,” he said.
Raffery Rolfe Rolfe has been charged with three counts of murder but his previous charges of armed robbery, dangerous operation of a vehicle, unlawful possession of a vehicle, unlawful possession with intent to deprive, stealing, evasion and driving without a licence repeat offender, which were adjourned until July 27, were brought forward to coincide with the new murder charges.

His matters were adjourned to the Maroochydore Magistrates Court for committal mention on September 15.

There was no application for bail and he was remanded in custody.
He is yet to enter a plea.
