Emerald man Scott Ryan Tyack faces court after truckie citizens’ arrest drama
A 19-year-old who crashed an allegedly stolen car while allegedly drunk has faced a string of charges in court including drugs, driving and obstructing police offences.

A 19-year-old who crashed an allegedly stolen car on the Peak Downs Hwy while allegedly drunk has faced a string of charges in court including drugs, driving and obstructing police offences.
Scott Ryan Tyack, 19, faced Mackay Magistrates Court after the crash at Greenmount, about 20 minutes west of Mackay.
Mr Tyack was pinned by down by truckies who grabbed him after the crash before police arrived.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene shortly after 9am, where police officers discovered the wreckage of a white Toyota HiLux.
Mr Tyack was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle and adversely affected by an intoxicating substance, two counts of a driver failing to remain at an incident and one count each of possessing dangerous drugs, a number plate offence, drink-driving, obstructing a police officer, driving without a licence and possessing utensils or pipes.
Mr Tyack has other charges before the Emerald Magistrates Court.
Mr Tyack was remanded in custody until the next mention on December 4.
