The daughter of Gold Coast woman feared murdered by her bikie boyfriend, will plead directly with the Attorney-General to stage an inquest into her death.

The daughter of a Gold Coast woman feared murdered a decade ago will plead with the Queensland Attorney-General to stage an inquest into the death.

Tina Greer vanished without a trace in January 2012 after going to visit her bikie boyfriend near Boonah, but after a decade-long investigation, a Queensland coroner in May sensationally ruled there was “no public interest” in holding an inquest.

Ms Greer’s daughter Lili, 23, was devastated by the decision, but has vowed not to give up her fight for justice and will meet with AG Shannon Fentiman next month in a bid to overturn the controversial call.

It comes as a change.org petition into the case soars past 20,000 signatures in support of overturning the decision of coroner Christine Roney.

While Ms Roney’s coronial report conceded it was likely that Ms Greer’s on-off boyfriend – notorious bikie Les “Grumpy” Sharman, murdered her, she said there was no need for an inquest.

Sharman – who the report said had a mate dump a mattress just days after Ms Greer’s disappearance, never consented to a formal police interview and died in a car crash in 2018.

The coronial report noted a long list of domestic violence allegations against Sharman, while Ms Greer had delivered a chilling premonition to family saying she feared he would kill her if she left him.

Lili Greer, who this month featured on the News Corp podcast “Bikies Inc: You murdered my mum”, said she would not give up her quest for justice.

“I’m not stopping,” she said.

“My goal was for the petition to get to 30,000 signatures and hopefully that will show that there is very much a public interest.”

Ms Fentiman confirmed she would meet to discuss Lili’s concerns and remained sympathetic to the case.

“The disappearance and death of Tina Greer was absolutely tragic and I am aware Tina’s family are advocating for an inquest into her death,” she said.

“I will be meeting with her daughter, Lili Greer next month to discuss her concerns and I understand the Coroners Court is considering an application to hold an inquest.”

Ms Greer had spent the day with her daughter buying supplies for the coming school year before driving to Sharman’s rural property near Boonah.

Police identified Sharman as a person of interest early in the investigation, but he was never charged.

Allegations presented to the coronial investigation included claims Ms Greer was trying to end things with Sharman for good and told family: “If you don’t hear from me I’ll probably be six feet under”.

There were also claims Sharman shot at her and even tried to run her over.

A $250,000 reward was offered by Queensland Police in 2020, but despite tip-offs leading to a search at a Gold Coast hinterland property, no arrests were made.
