‘Code black’ riot at South East Queensland prison
Prisoners were involved in a “code black” riot at Woodford jail on Friday. No one was injured and officers are working to determine the cause.

Prisoners were involved in a “code black” riot at Woodford jail on Friday.
The Courier-Mail has been told the riot involved up to 10 prisoners.
It’s unclear what sparked the riot.
“QCS can confirm that a short-lived disturbance in a secure unit at Woodford Correctional Centre was resolved with no injuries to officers or prisoners at about lunchtime today,” a Queensland Corrective Services spokeswoman said.
“The matter will be subject to internal investigation and referred to the (Queensland Police Service) Corrective Services Investigation Unit.”
