Police are investigating two separate armed robberies in Brisbane’s south with CCTV capturing the dramatic moments a man in a hoodie and thongs points a gun that he grabbed from his pants at a staff member.
Acacia Ridge Criminal Investigation Branch detectives have released CCTV from an armed robbery at a massage parlour at a Joseph Banks Ave business at Forest Lake on Saturday, August 10.
In the footage a man can be seen entering a massage parlour just before 7.15pm, wearing a black face covering and carrying a sawn-off shot gun.
It is alleged the man demanded money from a staff member before fleeing the business on foot.
The employee listened to him and was not physically harmed.
Footage showed the man waving the gun at the employee.
Police are urging anyone who recognises the man or who may have dashcam footage in or around Joseph Banks Ave and College Ave around the time of the robbery to come forward.
Separate footage has also been released of another armed robbery at a 7-Eleven on Sumners Rd at Centenary Place on Tuesday, August 13.
Police do not believe the incidents are linked.
The man attended the business about 8.45pm before he demanded the attendant open the registers.
The man left on foot after the employee complied. The attendant sustained minor injuries and was taken to Princess Alexandra Rd.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 183cm, wearing a green beanie, black face covering, black hoodie, dark blue jumper, grey tracksuit pants and light blue surgical gloves.
Anyone who recognises the man or who may have dashcam footage in or around the service station around the time of the robbery is urged to come forward.
