Police are investigating a caravan explosion in the Moreton Bay region that occurred early Monday morning, and just hours after neighbours reportedly heard an argument at the same property.
It is understood the caravan exploded outside a property on Condamine Street in Caboolture about 2am.
A nearby neighbour told The Courier-Mail that she woke up to an argument at the same property just hours earlier.
“My daughter woke me before midnight, there was an argument … there was a guy screaming and yelling,” the neighbour said.
The neighbour claims she heard one of the men involved in the argument make verbal threats to the other man.
“And at 2am there was an explosion … my son came in and said it sounded like something had hit the house.”
The fire was contained a short time later.
No one was injured.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said a crime scene was declared and investigations remain ongoing.
Police have cordoned off the property, and were combing through the charred remains of the caravan on Monday morning about 8.30am.
Burnt metal pieces could be seen thrown across the road, with the blast sending debris into neighbouring properties.
More to come.
