Brisbane real estate agent in court for child abuse material charges
A real estate agent who has freelanced for a successful agency in an affluent Brisbane suburb has faced court accused of possessing child abuse material.

A real estate agent who previously freelanced for a successful Brisbane agency has faced court accused of possessing child abuse material.
Cobey Luke Parnell, 37, faced Brisbane Arrest Court on Tuesday.
He was charged on July 24 with three counts of possessing child exploitation material and one count of accessing child abuse material.
According to court documents, the charges all relate to computer generated images.
No pleas have been entered.
Parnell has worked as a freelance contractor at Place Estate Agents but has not been associated with Place Estate Agents for more than six months.
At the matter’s first mention on August 20, Parnell was represented in court by Scarlett Rowe, of TWC lawyers.
Ms Rowe requested an adjournment for a brief of evidence to be provided.
The matter was adjourned to September 11.
Parnell’s bail was enlarged, with a number of conditions including a residential condition and prohibited access of internet.
