A 19-year-old woman has been charged with multiple assault-related offences after an out-of-control party at a luxury inner city apartment complex, with reports of people being punched and teens “running amok” in corridors.

Police were called to an out-of-control party at a luxury inner city apartment complex on Monday night after a group of teenage guests allegedly walked the corridors banging on doors and assaulted residents.

Multiple police cars arrived at the Capri building on Ann St around 7pm, with officers entering the complex and taking three females – including two 16 year olds – into custody.

A 19-year-old woman was charged with multiple assault related offences.

Shocked residents posted about the wild party in the building’s group chat, describing how they could hear people on level six “running amok … up and down and banging on doors”.

“I’m with my friend and someone was trying to get into her door – where are the police?” one wrote.

Another resident, who did not want to be named, told The Courier-Mail it “all got out of hand”.

“People were punched and the girls were going up and down the corridor, banging on doors,” he alleged.

A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said a group of teens were involved in a disturbance at the Ann St building on Monday night.

“The group then allegedly became involved in an altercation with residents of the building and entered a neighbouring unit,” the spokesperson said.

“During the altercation, a 59-year-old Newstead man and a 59-year-old Newstead woman sustained minor injuries.”

Police took two 16-year-old girls and a 19-year-old woman into custody.

The woman, from Mitchelton, was charged with two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, attempted enter dwelling and enter dwelling with intent in company.

She is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on July 23.
