Boy charged with murder after stabbing on Acacia Ridge street
A teenage boy has had his charged upgraded to murder after he fatally stabbed a man in Brisbane’s south in May.

A teenage boy has been charged with murder following an alleged fatal stabbing in Brisbane’ south on May 17.
It will be alleged the 17-year-old from Acacia Ridge was involved in an altercation with a 19-year-old man outside an address on Gregory St at Acacia Ridge around 2.30pm, where he allegedly produced a knife, stabbing the man multiple times.
The 19-year-old was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition with multiple injuries, but died on June 18.
The 17-year-old was initially charged with one count each of attempted murder, threatening violence, and possession of a knife in a public space.
His charge was upgraded to murder at Richlands Childrens Court on July 11.
He is due to appear next at Richlands Childrens Court on August 29.
