A teenager has died and another was rushed to hospital following a crash in Brisbane’s east overnight.

A teenager has died and another rushed to hospital after a crash in Brisbane’s east overnight.

Police say the incident occured just after 11pm when a blue Lexus crashed into bushland off Mt Petrie Rd at Belmont.

The driver, a 17-year-old Upper Mount Gravatt boy, died at the scene.

A 15-year-old passenger, from Calamvale, was taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the blue Lexus in the area at the time, or who may have relevant dashcam footage to contact them.
