Boy, 17, charged after stabbing at party at Crichton Ct, Burpengary East

A 17-year-old boy is set to face court today and he was charged following a stabbing incident during a physical altercation at a large party at Burpengary.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged after a stabbing incident during a physical altercation at a large party north of Brisbane.

Police were called to Crichton Court around 12.15am to reports a 17-year-old boy and 18-year-old man had sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries from an edged weapon on April 27.

Police allege the men were assaulted by a number of people during a physical altercation at the large party at the address.

Police believe there may be further people who were also injured during the incident.

A search warrant was carried out on a home at Burpengary East on Tuesday and arrested the boy.

He was charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and wounding.

Police bail was refused and he is due to appear in Caboolture Childrens Court today, April 30.

Detectives are asking for anyone who was injured, has information or witnessed the incident to contact police, in addition to anyone who has video footage from the party.
