A teenager has been charged after two people were stabbed at a New Year’s Eve party in Brisbane.
Police allege the incident occurred at a large party at a Sunnybank Hills home which had spilt out into the street.
Police will allege about 11.20pm two boys were stabbed during an altercation with other teenagers in the street.
Police will allege a 16-year-old sustained a stab wound to his abdomen and a 15-year-old suffered a stab wound to his upper thigh.
Both were transported to hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.
Police will allege those involved fled the scene prior to officers arriving.
Following investigations by detectives from the Child Protection and Investigation Unit a 16-year-old male was charged
with two counts of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
He is due to face Brisbane Childrens Court.
