Alleged carjackers hit five vehicles in Brisbane crime spree

A man and woman have been charged with multiple offences after allegedly carjacking five different vehicles in a crime spree across inner Brisbane.

A man and woman have been charged after allegedly carjacking five different vehicles in a crime spree across Ashgrove and Red Hill on Thursday.

Police will allege the woman was armed with a weapon when people were pulled from their vehicles across the inner-city suburbs.

The alleged crime spree began around 1.30pm at various locations, including Baileys Rd in Ashgrove and Hammond St Red Hill.

One of the stolen cars was found dumped at a service station on Musgrave Rd.

The pair were found in the area and were taken into custody.

Courtney Crystal Hodges, 24, was on Friday charged with four counts of armed robbery in company, two counts of unlawful entry of a motor vehicle for committing an indictable offence and one count of stealing of a vehicle.

She was due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today after being refused bail.

A 28-year-old Yeronga man was also charged with two counts of armed robbery in company and one count each of enter dwelling with intent, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and stealing.

He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday, October 29.
