Body found in septic tank on Pallara property

A woman has died after falling into a septic at a home in Brisbane’s south. Family members including the woman’s husband were at home at the time.

A woman’s body was found in a septic tank on a private property in Brisbane’s South on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the property on Brookbent Rd, Pallara, about 3pm after the 88-year-old woman was reported missing by her son.

The woman is understood to have fallen into the septic tank earlier on Sunday.

It is believed family members including the woman’s husband were at home when her body was discovered inside the septic tank by police.

Three police cars were seen outside the two-storey brick home.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
