Body found behind Caboolture service station

A crime scene has been declared after a body was found north of Brisbane on Tuesday morning.

The deceased man was located behind a service station on Lower King Street in Caboolture.

Police have cordoned off the area behind the service station, with a Queensland Police Services spokesperson confirming they were investigating the sudden death.

“A crime scene has been declared after a man was found deceased around 7.20am behind a business on Lower King Street,” the spokesperson said.

“Investigations into the circumstances of his death are underway.”

The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear at this stage.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner after the death of a man in his 40s behind the Ampol service station at Caboolture.

Attempts were made at the scene to revive the man, however he was declared dead at the scene.

A crime scene was declared shortly after and cleared by 12pm.

Investigations into the death will continue. The cause of death is undetermined at this stage as investigators await the results of a post mortem.
