A third person has been charged after a fatal car crash in Brisbane’s north which killed a beloved grandmother, as police officers injured in the horrific ordeal return to work.

Rosemary Franzidis, 69, was killed when police will allege a 16-year-old boy crashed a stolen Audi into her car on November 7 at Murrumba Downs.

Police will allege the boy and two others – Racheal Anne Collyer, 35, and Dylan Lawrance Anderson, 21 – arrived at a home in Griffin in a stolen Holden Barina where the boy threatened a woman with a firearm and stole her Audi.

Minutes later, the Audi ploughed into Mrs Franzidis and she died at the scene.

The boy was arrested at the scene and charged with manslaughter, while police will allege Collyer and Anderson drove off in the Barina.

Collyer was arrested on Sunday and remanded in custody, while police caught up with Anderson on Monday and charged him with multiple attempted armed robberies and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

Police will allege the trio were involved in the theft of a car at Northgate and two attempted robberies on the same day of the crash.

Anderson faced Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday – appearing calm from the dock – where Magistrate Clare Kelly highlighted the seriousness of his offences.

Ms Kelly said the prosecution’s evidence included his fingerprints found on some bottles associated with the Barina.

Anderson’s defence lawyer Caroline Robertson intended to apply for bail, but Ms Kelly highlighted some hurdles.

“I would assume that there’s steps in the investigation that haven’t yet been completed – things like looking at the phones that have been taken,” she said.

“I actually am in a position where, given the very serious allegations, I feel that I’m not fully appraised of all the evidence – and that’s probably a bit double-edged for Mr Anderson.”

“I just want to let you know at this stage that it would seem to me … I’m not satisfied that Mr Anderson has shown cause.”

Ms Robertson asked Anderson if he wanted to continue with the bail application, but he chose to wait to apply for bail at a later stage.

He was remanded in custody and Ms Robertson declined to answer any questions outside court.

Two police officers were also injured in the Murrumba Downs crash, with Queensland Police Union boss Shane Prior saying they were lucky to have not been more seriously injured.

The two officers had been tasked to help form a cordon to find the stolen Audi and were waiting at a red light when the horror incident unfolded in front of them.

It is understood the unmarked police vehicle was waiting to turn at the lights when a 16-year-old boy allegedly ran a red light and hit Mrs Franzidis vehicle, killing her.

The allegedly stolen vehicle then ricocheted into the stationary police vehicle, setting off its airbags and leaving the officers with bruising.

Referring to the incident as “very sad”, Mr Prior said it was fortunate for the officers that they weren’t more seriously injured.

“They were admitted into hospital … and they were released that same day a little bit sore and sorry,” he said.

“But they are back at work after taking some critical incident leave and we’re so happy to see them back at work and not seriously injured as what they could have been.”

It comes after Collyer made a shocking social media post on November 8 saying sorry to Ms Franzidis’ family.

And just hours after the crash, Collyer changed her cover photo on Facebook to a photo taken from inside a car driving over a bridge in Brisbane.

“Sending my condolences to those grieving,” she wrote.

Mrs Franzidis has been remembered as a woman who adored her family and loved art. She was married to her husband of 50 years and had three grandchildren.

Her husband, Jean-Paul Franzidis said his wife, who was devoted to her faith, would be praying for the boy who allegedly caused her death.

“I know a lot of people are angry … at the moment I can’t get angry,” Mr Franzidis told 7News.

“I know that Rose would be praying for that guy right now, and all the other kids like him who need to be out of that situation.”

Mr Franzidis said they were planning a trip to Greece for Rosemary’s 70th birthday next year.

A Go Fund Me has been said up to support the family going forward.

Collyer will face Caboolture Magistrates Court again on Wednesday, and Anderson will face court on November 24.

The boy remains in custody and will face court again in December.
