Alleged Mongols bikie Mark Andrew Hill, 41, charged with weapon, drug offences after Victoria Point raid

A man charged over a staggering suburban stash of drugs and weapons has been revealed as an alleged member of Brisbane’s newest chapter of the Mongols bikie gang.

An alleged member of the Mongols bikie gang has been charged with having guns, drugs, ammunition in his Brisbane bayside home.

Mark Andrew Hill, 41, was arrested and charged on Friday after police raided his Victoria Point house and say they found a loaded gun, as well as Mongols Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) colours.

Hill is alleged to be a member of Mongols Brisbane Bayside chapter, which was set-up this year.

Police conducted a search warrant at a Creekside Circuit address in Victoria Point and took Hill into custody about 7am.

Police allege they found a loaded .22 firearm, a 3D printed firearm and illicit drugs including cocaine, cannabis, and MDMA at the address.

Arrest footage shows police looking through a pile of Mongols paraphernalia, including colours linked to Bayside and Gold Coast chapters.

Detective Inspector Wayne Francis says the charges showcase the collaboration between policing units in their efforts to keep the community safe.

“There is no place for illicit drugs or weapons in our community,” he said.

“Police will continue to carry out targeted investigations to detect offences and hold alleged perpetrators to account.”

Hill has been charged with 13 offences, including four counts of possess dangerous drugs, three possession of weapons offences and authority required to possess explosives. No plea has been entered

Hill faced Cleveland Magistrates Court on July 9 and was remanded in custody.

He will reappear before Cleveland Magistrates Court on August 7.
