Heavy security is in force for the court appearance of three alleged Gold Coast bikies charged with the murder of a high-profile ex-outlaw motorcycle gang member and his business partner.

Four police officers have been stationed inside Southport Magistrates Court to guard alleged Lone Wolf bikies Garry James Brush, Nathan John Miller and Brodie Jeet Singh.

Other officers are keeping watch over an internal entrance to the court where the accused are being brought up from the cells.

All three men are facing a 10-day committal hearing charged with the murders of former Comanchero bikie Shane Ross and his Monstr Clothing business partner Cameron Martin.

Both men were gunned down after allegedly being lured to a clandestine meeting in a Tallebudgera park on the southern Gold Coast in October 2019.

Mr Martin crashed his white Mercedes into a tree on nearby Tallebudgera Creek Rd after apparently trying to flee the scene with gunshot wounds, and was found dead in the vehicle.

Mr Ross was shot in the head, his body found by relatives three days later..

Police have alleged the murders were ‘undertaken and planned … over a period of time’.

The committal hearing was due to start on Tuesday after being delayed on Monday because of a problem in transporting Brush from jail.

The first witnesses will include Mr Martin’s parents and Monstr Clothing employees.

Mr Ross’s widow, Alexandra, is also expected to give evidence.
