An alleged Comanchero bikie associate has pleaded guilty to trafficking cocaine and cannabis for nearly a year on the Gold Coast.

Alexander John Hart pleaded guilty at the Brisbane Supreme Court on Friday morning to carrying on the business of trafficking cocaine and cannabis over a 12 month period.

Hart was one of five individuals arrested after police raided several Gold Coast homes on March 1, 2023.

At an earlier court appearance, police alleged that Mr Hart and his co-accused were involved in a drug syndicate with ties to the Comanchero bikie gang.

It’s alleged Hart trafficked the cocaine and cannabis drugs from March 16 2022 to March 2 2023 at Ashmore on the Gold Coast.

He also pleaded guilty on Friday to two charges of possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with a drug offence.

The court heard those charged involved Mr Hart possessing a grinder, clip seal bags, a bong, scales, and a mobile phone at Ashmore on March 1, 2023.

Hart was originally expected to be sentenced this morning, but his sentence was adjourned after the court heard there were amendments that needed to be made to the agreed facts surrounding the frequency of supplies conducted throughout the trafficking period.

Justice Martin Burn said the changes may have a “very substantive impact” on the sentence imposed and the stakes were “too high” to continue until they were made.

He enlarged Mr Hart’s bail and adjourned the matter for a review on November 29.
