A 79-year-old man has died in hospital days after he was struck by a car while travelling on his mobility scooter at Redland.
The 79-year-old Birkdale man was travelling on a mobility scooter when he was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Old Cleveland Road and Buckingham Street at Birkdale about 11:30am on January 20.
He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition, where he died on January 23.
The driver of the Audi Q5, a 34-year-old Birkdale man, was not physically injured.
Anyone with dashcam or CCTV in the vicinity of the crash is urged to contact police.
Investigations into the circumstances are continuing.
The Forensic Crash Unit is appealing for witnesses to come forward.
