Police say a man living in a short-term rental in inner-city Brisbane has been busted with $65,000 in cash and a huge stash of cannabis in vacuum-sealed bags.

A whopping 10kg of cannabis, found in vacuum-sealed bags alongside $65,000 cash has been seized from an inner-Brisbane home following a targeted police bust.
A 25-year-old man, who had been staying in a short-term rental property in Kelvin Grove has been charged with several offences, including the possession of dangerous drugs.
Police allege stacks of cash, totalling about $65,000, a money counter, cyrovac machine, mobile phone and around 10kgs of cannabis in vacuum sealed bags was found in the home yesterday.
According to police, the house had allegedly been rented for a short period by a man who then contacted the owners to extend his stay.
The property was searched after the man’s request was denied, based on information received by police.
The man was denied bail after detectives identified and arrested him nearby the house a short time after officers searched the home.
He remains in police custody at the Brisbane City Watchhouse and is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Tuesday, April 27, charged with possession of dangerous drugs, possession of tainted property and possession of anything used in the commission of a crime under the Drugs Misuse Act.
