Gold Coast police have arrested three men after raids on properties on Wednesday allegedly uncovered 1.6kg of cocaine valued at $1.6 million and $27,000 cash.
Detectives from the Major and Organised Crime Squad said Operation Eureka had since August been targeting the supply and distribution of cocaine across South East Queensland.
Police said they raided properties at Nerang, Southport and Hope Island on Wednesday, and pictures from the raid show white powder in a blender, a drug press and drug-related paraphernalia.
Police will allege the syndicate supplied dangerous drugs to a large number of individuals, and said the raid would significantly disrupt the local drug trade and reduce the supply of dangerous drugs in the community.
A 34-year-old Hope Island man and two Southport men, 29 and 38, have been charged with drug-related offences including trafficking, producing and possessing dangerous drugs, possessing property suspected to be proceeds of crime, and possessing things and utensils used for drugs.
