16 arrested after man stabbed at Brisbane southside party
A man is in a critical condition after he was stabbed at a party on Brisbane’s southside. Sixteen people have been arrested.

A man is in hospital with critical stab wounds and 16 people have been arrested after a fight broke out at a party in Fairfield in Brisbane’s south this morning.
Police said they were called to Home St about 5.20am on Sunday after being told the Fitzgibbon man, 25, was stabbed.
Investigators said they would allege the man was at a house party on Fairfield Rd when an altercation broke out between people there.
The altercation spilled on to the street and the man was stabbed multiple times in the abdomen, in nearby Home St.
He was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital and underwent surgery. He is in a critical but stable condition.
Officers patrolling the the area found a knife at the back of a different property on Fairfield Rd.
Police have arrested 10 men and six women, aged 19-28, and say they are now assisting detectives with their investigation.
“Crime-scenes were declared at each of the three locations,” police said in a statement.
“Police are now appealing to any witnesses, or anyone who may have captured security, iPhone or dash-camera footage in the area at the time, to come forward.
“No-one else was injured and investigations continue.”
