PROSECUTORS described him as "sexual cyber terrorist" and now a US man will spend the next four years in jail for an extraordinary series of crimes.
Karen 'Gary' Kazaryan, 27, hacked into the email, Facebook and Skype accounts of as many as 350 women and extorted them into showing him their naked bodies, KTLA 5 reported.
After he obtained naked pictures from his victims he would threaten to post the images on the internet unless they would provide additional photos and videos, the report said.
"He had two goals every time that he accessed these accounts: get more naked pictures in any way he could, and get more victims," prosecutors wrote in their sentencing papers.
He would then ask for the contact details of their friends. Most victims were believed to be aged 20 or younger.
"His victims were devastated and felt like they had been raped," the sentencing memorandum said.
"They continue to be thoroughly (traumatised) by his criminal conduct."
