123456, password - The most popular passwords of 2013

HUMANITY needs help. The 25 most popular passwords of the year have just been announced, and they are truly bad.

The US reveals the secret code

IT'S 2014, by now you would think that people would get the idea that you need a secure, hard to crack password. But reading this list of the 25 most popular passwords seems to prove us wrong.

Put together by SplashData, the list is made up of the most popular stolen passwords made public throughout 2013, including Adobe's big leak back in October.

The biggest surprise position in this year's list is the dethroning of the usual password king... "password", being replaced by "123456" for the first time ever.

So if your password features in this list, we strongly recommend you change it, and remember "trustno1" with it.
