Nicholas Emond arrested after posting on Most Wanted Facebook page

WHEN there's a warrant out for your arrest, would you post comments on your Most Wanted Facebook page? Nicholas 'Sin Demon' Emond did.

WHEN there's a warrant out for your arrest, most alleged criminals try not to draw attention to themselves.

Nicholas Emond - wanted for parole violation on a possession of firearm charge - is not one of those.

The pierced-and-tattooed Emond was named as the US Marshals Service's New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force's top suspect for 'Most Wanted Wednesday' and was described as armed and dangerous.

When New Hampshire station WMUR posted his picture to their Facebook page, Emond - using his alias Sin Demon - decided to put his side of the story across on several occasions.

"I'm terrified this all because after the us government came in and tore my life apart for BS and released me ... I'm not armed and certainly not dangerous u all,' he wrote.

He added: "I am far from an angel but I am even further from the dangerous criminal they've made me out to be."

He was arrested today (AEST) when police forced their way into a unit in Somersworth, New Hampshire.

Emond is not the first fugitive to have tried to argue their case by posting comments to their own wanted photos on social media.

Matthew Oliver of New Port Richey, Florida, went on a tirade after the Pasco County Sheriff's Office posted his photo to its Facebook page as part of the agency's "Fugitive of the Day" series in July. He was arrested two days after posting the screed.
