A QUEENSLAND businessman allegedly paid his lover $100,000 after she blackmailed him by posting photos of his wife on social media.
It is claimed Yue Chen, 32, demanded the man pay her $200,000 to remove the pictures from social media site We Chat - but he could only come up with half the money.
The Brisbane Magistrate's Court heard told the sordid accusations this week after Chen allegedly flew from Melbourne on the weekend to confront her former lover.
She came to her former lover's door and threatened to kill his wife and unborn child, the court heard when Chen fronted it on stalking charges.
Chen's defence told the court his client had already been released on bail by a Melbourne court where she is facing charges of extortion and blackmail over the alleged demands for $200,000.
It was alleged that on the weekend she flew to Brisbane and tried to find the man at his workplace where he refused to see her.
Chen's defence told the court this was the first time the businessman's wife learnt of the affair.
The court heard police were called when Chen visited her former lover's home, who took the woman to the airport to return to Melbourne.
But then, Chen returned to the home a second time, and allegedly threatened to kill her lover's wife and unborn baby.
Chen pleaded guilty to stalking and was sentenced to three months jail, suspended for two years and ordered not to contact her former lover for two years.
