The new updates coming to For Honor

SWORD-slinging multiplayer combat title For Honor is set for updates as its seventh season Storm and Fury kicks off.

SWORD-slinging multiplayer combat title For Honor is set for updates as its seventh season, Storm and Fury, kicks off on August 2.

The free update, coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from publishers Ubisoft, will include a new map, an updated ranking system, and changes to some of the heroes in the game.

The ranking system will now include Master and Grand Master levels, as well as a new ranking leaderboard, while the Valkyrie and Warden Heroes will receive updates to improve their versatility and efficiency.

The new map is called Secluded Keep and will be available in Tribute, Skirmish, Elimination, Brawl and Duel modes.

From August 2-9, players will be able to try out any Hero they don’t own, with discounted in-game currency purchase costs on those heroes as well. The in-game cost to purchase battle outfits is also being discounted permanently.

The base game itself will also be available for free to Xbox Live Gold subscribers from August 16 to September 15, while non-Gold Xbox gamers will be able to purchase it at a significantly reduced price.

This update comes ahead of a major expansion, entitled Marching Fire, which is set for an October 16 release. The expansion will bring a 4 vs 4 castle siege model, and more single-player content as well as the Wu Lin faction, who will join the existing Knights, Vikings and Samurai already present in the game.
