GRAND Theft Auto developer Rockstar has been teasing a new Red Dead game in recent days, and we now know what it is: Red Dead Redemption 2.

The developer confirmed the rumours on their website, and also shared the good news that fans will get a sneak peak at the trailer for the game on Thursday (Friday AEDT).

“Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience,” the site said.

The announcement states that the game is planned for PS4 and Xbox One.

No word yet for PC users whether they will get to play the game.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is the third in the series and follows Red Dead Revolver and Red Dead Redemption.
