A WEBCAM live streamed the terrifying moment a woman was robbed in her own home by a gun-wielding assailant while she was playing a game online.

Nikki Elise was at her home in Phoenix, Arizona, playing the strategy game DOTA 2, Gawker reported.

Ms Elise, who goes by the online moniker Sajedene, was broadcasting herself on her own channel on the streaming site Twitch.tv.

She is seen suddenly looking up from the computer when she hears shouts from the next room. She then disappears and moments later a man clutching a gun walks in front of the camera.

According to Gawker, the intruder stole Ms Elise’s guns, her computer, and some other items before her teammates guessed anything was up. The news site said she was “very shaken up” and had reported the incident to police.

The footage was later uploaded to Youtube.
