GAMES publisher EA are the latest to join the premium games subscription service, announcing the Origin Access Premier tier for PC gamers using the Origin Access gaming service.
The Premier subscription service tier will cost $19.99 per month or $129.99 per year give players exclusive access to some new-release EA games several days before launch, as well as bonus in-game currency.
The tier complements — and is an enhancement to — the recently announced Origin Access Basic subscription, which is $6.99 per month or $39.99 per year. Both tiers grant access to more than 100 catalogue titles, known as The Vault, in a similar fashion to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
Some of the games available on Origin Access include The Sims 4 Digital Deluxe, Star Wars Battlefront II, A Way Out and FIFA 18.
EA player network senior vice president Michael Blank said Origin Access Premier offered players a wealth of content, including all of EA’s PC games as well as a number of titles from other publishers.
“As our first-ever subscription service with full access to newly-released EA games, we’re offering players more freedom to play the games they want, anytime they want,” he said.
EA have confirmed that Madden NFL 19 Hall of Fame Edition, FIFA 19 Ultimate Edition, Battlefield V Deluxe Edition and Anthem Legion of Dawn Edition will be among the games featuring early access as part of the Premier-tier subscription.
