‘Nazi robots’: Grandparents’ wild Just Stop Oil demonstration against Billionaire Elon Musk

Elon Musk’s ‘Tesla Bot’ has been attacked with liquid latex, showing a notorious target group has him in their sights.

Elon Musk’s humanoid Optimus robot, created by Tesla, has become the latest target of controversial British climate action group Just Stop Oil.

True to form, the group poured orange liquid over the robot in demand that the UK government phase out fossil fuel by 2030.

At around 10:15am on Wednesday local time at the Westfield Tesla store in London, a pair of activists climbed onto a podium display, poured the goo, and unfurled a Just Stop Oil banner.

“Shut down the fascists! The government is failing to protect our democracy from fossil fuel companies and power hungry billionaires,” one of the protesters said.

“I will not stand by and let the climate crisis cause global food destruction, mass starvation and the collapse of civil society.

“While the rich dream of Nazi robots and swasti-cars, what the rest of us need is warm housing, clean affordable energy and cheap public transport,” he continued.

“Don’t let billionaires decide your future. Lets reclaim democracy.”

While many see Just Stop Oil as a bunch of radical Gen Z snowflakes, the pair that took action this morning, were grandparents.

Catherine Rennie Nash, 74, is a grandmother and a retired teacher from Cumbria, was involved in the demonstration.

“Billionaire Elon Musk likes to punch down. Instead of using his wealth to help solve the climate crisis, reduce world hunger or find a cure for cancer, he is throwing hundreds of thousands of people out of work, jeopardising climate science and denying healthcare to vulnerable people,” Ms Nash said.

“He thinks empathy is a weakness and uses his social media platform to amplify climate denial, extreme prejudice and hate. He and his billionaire pals are looking to destroy democracy and he is bringing this to the UK.

“If you want to fight it you better learn how to resist.

With her was Nigel Fleming, 64, a grandfather and a retired tax adviser from London, who decided to take part – from a mathematical perspective.

“Even the actuaries are saying that immediate action is required to mitigate the risks of catastrophic climate impacts occurring well before 2050,” Mr Fleming said.

“We’re talking crop failure and starvation driving mass migration and civil unrest, the loss of whole nations beneath the waves, our homes, livelihoods and pensions at risk. We don’t have time to mess around with denial and delay.

“So frankly, f**k Musk.”

Just Stop Oil next plans to protest at Parliament Square from April, to “demand that Kier Starmer gets on with the job.”

The stunt comes after Mr Trump urged US consumers to continue to support Tesla as sales have been plummeting along with their share price, possibly panicking the richest man in the world.

Just this week, Tasmania’s only Telsa store was vandalised with graffiti, labelling Mr Musk a “Nazi”.

The shop front, located in Derwent Park in Hobart, was graffitied with the phrase “Do you really want to drive a swasticar?” alongside a photo of Musk captioned “Heil TeSSla.”

In a statement to news.com.au, Police said they were “aware” of the incident but are yet to receive a formal report.

“As always, anyone who is the victim of a crime is encouraged to report to police on 131 444 or triple-0 in an emergency,” a spokesman for Tasmania Police said.

It also comes the Trump administration announced violence against Tesla dealerships, as seen in recent protests in the US, Germany, France, Portugal and the UK, will be labelled as domestic terrorism.

Meanwhile, a broader boycott of US goods is underway as tariffs come into full swing.
