CES: World’s first mobile air purifier, Atmobot, unveiled
Breathe easy: if you suffer from asthma or hayfever, this new little robot can seek out and suck up any impurities in the air of your house.
Chinese technology firm Ecovacs has unveiled the world’s first mobile air purifier, called the Atmobot, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The product has already been on sale in China where high smog levels have made it very popular. It will be available in Australia in the second half of this year, however no date or pricing has been given.
Atmobot uses laser sensors and creates a virtual map of your home to detect any obstacles.

It selects a purification spot in each area and starts purifying. A light on top of the machine will also change from red to blue to indicate that the air quality has reached adequate levels and it will then move to the next spot in the home.

Australian Country Manager Damian Commane told News Corp Australia that the product had significant benefits for Australians who suffer from hayfever and asthma, especially during bushfire season.
Users can also pair it with the Ecovacs App to enjoy full control and the freedom to manually choose which area to start air purifying.

Ecovacs also announced the release of the Deebot Ozmo 960, a robot vacuum cleaner that can detect items like cables, socks, and other things on the floor and avoid them so they don’t get sucked up into the vacuum.
The device will also be available in Australia later this year but the company was unable to provide prices or a launch date.
