ANONYMOUS Indonesia has taken revenge over claims Australia spied on Indonesian government officials by hacking the websites of home service providers.

A Perth bouncy castle company, a Brisbane grout cleaner and a Melbourne dry cleaner are all caught up in the latest attack by the "hacktivist" group.

Anonymous Indonesia today tweeted a list of more than 100 Australian websites it had hacked, replacing their normal business websites with the message "Stop spying on Indonesia!"

The websites hit by the attack are mainly small businesses around Australia.

Some of the hacked websites, including the website for prominent Brisbane psychologist Paula Barrett, were defaced with the message: "Tell on your government stop all forms of tapping into Indonesia or we will make your internet network destroyed".

The attack follows reports of claims by whistleblower Edward Snowden that Australian embassies were being used in the NSA's global spying network.

The Australian businesses hit by the attack have no apparent connection to each other nor to the Australian government.

Anonymous is an international collective that targets individuals and companies with political and social protests.

Queensland police today are investigating a YouTube clip apparently posted by Anonymous which is being viewed as a threat against Queensland Premier Campbell Newman for his controversial stand against bikies.
