In Fox Sports Lab FIFA World Cup this week, Aussie football legend Robbie Slater is joined by Andrew Durante to reflect on the Socceroos phenomenal World Cup campaign, which came to an end against Argentina in the Round of 16 on Sunday morning.
Harry Souttar - who was on the comeback from injury - was arguably Australia’s best player across the World Cup and Durante believes that it’s time for him to leave Stoke City and The Championship.
“English Premier League is a definite for him and I’m sure there will be scouts looking out for him,” figures Durante.
Slater and Durant also discuss Graham Arnold’s future being up in the air, as Arnold has been offered a contract renewal by the FFA, but does have options elsewhere around the world.
Robbie Slater is a close friend of Arnold’s and weighed in on what he thinks the future holds for Arnold.
“Having spoken to him recently, I think he wants to continue on this journey with this group of players and I can understand why he wants to do that,” Slater explains.
The pair also discuss where Australia can improve leading into the 2026 World Cup, as well as the upcoming Asian Cup.
Watch the video above to see what Slater and Durante think.
