Will the Sydney Swans make the top 4 in 2023? The Swans play Stuart Dew’s Gold Coast Suns in round 1, and both sides will be desperate to win.

The Gold Coast Suns host the Sydney Swans on Saturday night and will be out to stamp their credentials as top eight contenders for 2023.

Hawthorn legend Jason Dunstall does not have faith in the Suns for 2023.

He especially isn’t sold on them this Saturday against when they host a Swans side that’s coming off a shellacking in the 2022 Grand Final.

“I’m not very bullish on Gold Coast,” says Dunstall.

“I don’t see where their improvement comes from (to make the finals) and I think the Swans are young enough where there is going to be some serious hunger there,” Dunstall points out.
