Former UFC champ Conor McGregor born again, ‘witnesses his own death’

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor has made a series of extraordinary claims about his personal life after watching himself “die”.

Conor McGregor claims he saw his own “death” after taking a controversial psychedelic drug.

The former UFC champion last month claimed to have undergone a spiritual awakening and said he’s been “saved” by God.

The former two-division champion’s claim came amid a two-month social media hiatus, which has included the recent deletion of his Instagram account.

As reported by The Sun, that voluntary social media exile ended on Monday (AEDT) when the Irishman revealed he’d recently been administered the psychoactive drug Ibogaine during a trip to Tijuana, Mexico.

The substance is being clinically researched for its ability to help with substance use disorders and drug addiction.

He wrote on X: “Hey guys, I am back. I was blessed to meet the most forward-thinking doctors from Stanford University and undergo a series of treatments to address trauma.

“I travelled to Tijuana Mexico and underwent Ibogaine treatment at AMBIO.

“Watch the Netflix documentary just released titled ‘In Waves and War’ as it is the exact place I went. It was incredible, intense, and absolutely eye opening.”

McGregor, 37, says one of vivid visions he experienced while on Ibogaine was the devastating effect his death would have on his young family.

He continued: “I was shown what would have been my death.

“How soon it was to be, and how it would have impacted my children.

“I was looking down on myself as it happened, and then I was looking out from the coffin

“God then came to me in the Holy Trinity. He is MIGHTY! Jesus, his child. Mary, his Mother. The Archangels. All present in heaven.

“I was shown the light. Jesus descended from the white marble steps of heaven and anointed me with a crown.

“I was saved! My brain. My heart. My soul. Healed! I was 36 hours under before I finally rested. When I awoke I was me again.

“The most enlightening and enchanting experience I have ever undertaken. This treatment is worth its weight in GOLD!

“It is very, very tough, but it absolutely saved my life, and in turn saved my family.

“Thank you for all your inspiration, motivation, encouragement, well wishes, support, and most importantly, for your prayers!

“THEY WORKED! I am my child again. But this time with the knowledge of my adult.”

McGregor hasn’t set foot inside the octagon since breaking his left leg nearly four and a half years ago, but is eyeing a spot on the UFC’s White House card next June.

The Dublin product insists his legion of fans are “in for a treat” following his spiritual awakening.

He said: “To my family, my friends, my fans. My support! My team! Baby, we did it!

“The World is in for a treat! To God, I am yours!!

“Thank you for bestowing upon me this incredible blessing that I take with great care and absolute seriousness!

“I live my life per your word and nothing more. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Your Great Grandson, Conor McGregor.”

Should McGregor fight on the White House card, which could be the venue for his long-overdue clash with Michael Chandler, the bout will be his first since he was found civilly liable for assaulting Nikita Hand at a Dublin hotel in 2018.

McGregor lost his appeal of the verdict, which was turned in by a jury of his peers last November.
