Mel Andreatta has quit as coach of Brisbane Roar’s W-League team.
In charge since of the women’s Roar side since 2016, Andreatta has been replaced by Jake Goodship, who has been coaching Brisbane’s youth team in the NPL Queensland competition.
Andreatta, who was a Matildas assistant coach at this year’s Women’s World Cup, led the Roar to the W-League premiership in the 2017-18 season.
Roar CEO David Pourre said: “We would like to sincerely thank Mel for her dedication and hard work in a variety of positions throughout many years at BRFC.”
Goodship said coaching the Roar’s W-League team was a “fantastic opportunity”.
“There’s great staff and it’s a great playing squad – I’m excited to move forward and build more success here with the squad,” he said.
“I want to be successful, but we also want to improve. I am keen to be successful on field, but success also comes in pushing players to the next level, improving their games and progressing to places like the Matildas squad.”
