TOP Australian swimming coaches took part in parties involving strippers, porn movies and binge-drinking at bonding sessions, investigation reveals.

TOP-ranking Australian swimming coaches took part in parties involving strippers, porn movies and binge-drinking at annual bonding sessions on the Gold Coast, an official investigation has revealed.

An inquiry commissioned by Swimming Australia ­described these private strip shows, which took place during the annual national coaching conferences, as “legendary’’.

Two interim reports of the independent inquiry prepared by a top Sydney lawyer, Louise Donohoe SC, and leaked to The Sunday Telegraph, says the parties were conducted in the presidential suite of the Sofitel Broadbeach, occupied by then-head coach of the Australian swim team Alan Thompson and that he was an “active and willing participant” in some.
