THE finalists for the Australian Racehorse of the Year have been announced.
There are seven categories from which the individual winner will come from.
Five finalists have been named for each category.
The category winners and the Racehorse of the Year will named on October 8 at the MCG when the spring carnival will be officially launched at a gala function,
Voted on by a national group of racing media and handicappers, the awards take into account performances by horses on Australian tracks, as well as international performances by Australian-trained horses during the 2014/2015 racing season from 1 August 2014 to 31 July 2015.
