Last week ... Lincoln Moore missed out on snaring his fifth straight best bet winner but still managed to steer punters in the right direction with Heza Ripper ($4) at Morphettville, while Stephen Zammit came close with Singing ($4.60, 2nd) at Rosehill. Scratchings ruined the hopes of several tipsters.

HOT TIPS: WEEKEND BEST BETS
BRAD DAVIDSON & SHAYNE O’CASS PREVIEW SATURDAY’S RANDWICK CARD
WYONG (Friday)
BRAD DAVIDSON (Daily Telegraph). Form: 0x023
SACRED MASTER
Race 7, No. 3
Put in a really good run first up in a sit and sprint affair and then he was just getting warmed up in the Premier’s Cup Prelude when he was blocked for a run over the concluding stages. He was a Group 2 winner over 2400m in New Zealand and expect him to relish the step up to 2100m in the Wyong Gold Cup.
TAB Fixed Odds: $6
RANDWICK
RAY THOMAS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 0x023
BACARELLA
Race 6, No. 5
Is an underrated filly who beat all but the richly talented Omei Sword in the Silver Shadow Stakes. She was having her first run since winning at Cantebury in June where she handled the soft track conditions with ease. Bacarella has race fitness on her side and has demonstrated her ability to handle rain-affected going. She is over the odds at $11.
TAB Fixed Odds: $11
STEPHEN ZAMMIT (Daily Telegraph). Form: 05822
SUPER TYCOON
Race 5, No. 6
Greg McFarlane has done a great job with this gelding, winning his last four straight and there is no reason why he can’t make it five here. Although he is up in grade, this is hardly a classic race and with James McDonald to steer and a good draw, he looks great value.
TAB Fixed Odds: $5
JOHN DAVIS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 77370
SMART AMELIA
Race 6, No. 14
Has been patiently prepared for her return to the race track and after missing most of the Autumn carnival, after failing in the Sweet Embrace Stakes, connections will be hoping for some black type success first-up. She produced a real eye-catcher on debut in the Widden Stakes and has furnished magnificently as a three year old. Gets blinkers today and that’s a proven formula with the Smart Missile stock.
TAB Fixed Odds: $35
SHAYNE O’CASS (Sportsman). Form: 64207
SLOW PACE
Race 2, No. 1
It’s been a while since this Kris Lees-trained galloper has tasted success but if he is going to win again, and soon, it will be here, where he is the top-rater in the race. Lees hasn’t bothered to claim, booking James McDonald instead so he mustn’t see the weight as a deal breaker.
TAB Fixed Odds: $11
DARREN PRENDERGAST (SuperRacing). Form: 13764
HONESTY PREVAILS
Race 6, No. 2
Won the Widden Stakes on debut on a slow track then went on to run fifth in the Golden Slipper. Tuned up for return with two trials, has drawn well and capable of starting spring campaign with a win.
TAB Fixed Odds: $8

MOONEE VALLEY
MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun) Form: 92215
SADAQUA
Race 2, No. 9
Usually takes a few runs to hit his peak and now should be ready to improve. Will push forward in race where most don’t. Six starts this track and distance for three seconds and a third. $11 looks over the odds.
TAB Fixed Odds: $11
DARYL TIMMS (Herald Sun) Form: 40739
VOSTOK
Race 4, No. 10
Beaten less than two lengths in past two starts and is ready for this.
TAB Fixed Odds: $3.80
SIMON MOY (SuperRacing). Form: 11034
OSCAR’S MY MATE PA
Race 4, No. 5
Two recent performances have been solid and should be in this for a long way. Rates highly.
TAB Fixed Odds: $13
NICK QUINN (TAB). Form: 37637
ROCKETEER
Race 3, No. 12
Broke through stylishly last start after chasing home potential Group 1 filly Leotie.
TAB Fixed Odds: $7

EAGLE FARM
NATHAN EXELBY (The Courier-Mail). Form: 00156
MR JETSET
Race 8, No. 11
Looked a good horse in the making 20 months ago but lost his way. First up run suggests he’s come back much better this time in after disappointing latest couple of preps. The 1000m was too short, but he found the line strongly. Interesting to note that the stable had two winners last week (Bentles and Pienkna) with horses that went through a lull, so there may be something to that. This trip is ideal and he’s already proven on the track.
TAB Fixed Odds: $11

MORPHETTVILLE
BEN SCADDEN (The Advertiser). Form: 12178
MATERIALISED
Race 2, No. 4
She was heavily supported before scoring a dominant win in easier grade at Gawler last time. This is harder but should be in the firing line for a long way. I’d be surprised to see her out of the placings.
TAB Fixed Odds: $4.20
LINCOLN MOORE (The Advertiser). Form: 14401
ULTIMATE WEAPON
Race 3, No. 6
Interesting runner on debut for the in-form Tony McEvoy stable. Has trialled on five occasions, the latest at Tatura in Victoria where he ran almost a second quicker then Fatawy. Has been nominated for the Golden Rose, Caulfield Guineas and Caulfield Classic and sure to make his presence felt.
TAB Fixed Odds: $4.80
