Libertini has blasted her way into The Everest contention with an easy win over the two favourites for the big race in the Premiere Stakes at Randwick.
Nature Strip, who had held favouritism for the $15m race from the outset is now massively on the drift after being beaten out of the placings while Classique Legend finished second and still remains in high regard.
However it was all about Libertini, who hadn’t been snapped up by a slot holder before Saturday’s race but the merit in her victory has seen the Anthony Cummings-trained mare immediately elevated to third favouritism for the October 17 event.
