Our experts give you an early shot at finding a winner around the nation in the major races this weekend.

Last week … Six winners. News Racing tipster Simon Moy was back to his very best with his top tip Housay ($5.50) getting the job done down the Flemington straight and value bet Coolth ($6) part of a very tidy race-to-race double.

Courier Mail racing editor Nathan Exelby made sure punters were in the queue early on Magic Millions Raceday when Newsreader ($5.50) led them a merry dance.

Not often News Racing’s leader tipster misses out and Saturday was no different with Chris Vernuccio’s value bet Jonker ($4.80) also finding the line at the Gold Coast.

Racenet’s Jett Hatton returned from a well-earned spell and didn’t waste time hitting the bullseye with best bet Fabergino ($3.60) at Flemington.

Herald Sun’s Gilbert Gardiner, not one to miss out on a party, chimed in with best bet Over Exposure ($2.50), also at headquarters.

That was more like it. Let’s hope the trend continues this weekend.

He’s learned to be a winner again now. Trainer Tony Gollan bypassed the tougher races of the past three weeks and has waited for this very winnable C3 Plate. Like the way he put them away at EF last time and he can continue on with the job here.

Went super in The Buffering last time out and looks extremely well placed back in grade. Was a dominant winner over this track and distance two runs back and gets in 4kg lighter on Saturday while Andrew Mallyon retains the ride.
