AUSTRALIA are set to face England in a crucial Rugby World Cup pool match, and English sponsor O2 is keen to rally some local support via a hype video calling on local fans to #WearTheRose.
Initially portrayed as awkward outcasts, English players Chris Robshaw, Mike Brown and Courtney Lawes grow bigger and stronger as they travel through the country receiving support from the adoring locals.
However, with a recent poll of the English public revealing that over 70 per cent of respondents were unable to name a single member of the England squad, one has to question how much adoration the squad are likely to receive.
On that basis the Wallabies shouldn’t have too much trouble with the awkward outcasts at Twickenham on October fourth.
